Accessed from Church Street opposite Parkol Marine Engineering or from The Ropery, there are steps up to or down to this cosy little cottage but the property is then on one floor. If you’re looking for a quirky & quaint Grade 2 listed cottage that’s perfect for a couple or the solo traveller, then look no further.

We would describe it as studio style - a bijoux open plan cottage all on one level with an ensuite Shower Room. There is a comfortable double bed with ottoman storage, a Sofa, a Dining table, a Gas Log burning stove and a Kitchenette for preparing a light meal during your stay.

We think this would suit you if you want affordable but more amenities than a hotel or guest house room. With neighbouring holiday cottages, you also have the luxury of a small shared garden & patio area, which is a little bit of tranquillity tucked away in our bustling town.

We provide linen, towels, and basic catering supplies (tea, coffee, sugar & milk) for that all-important arrival cuppa! & kitchen crockery, utensils, as well as cooking necessities to make breakfast or a light meal.

A picnic hamper is available for use during your stay, as well as a patio area with furniture, and if you are staying for a week, we will also include a little treat Hamper to enjoy.

 

Operated by The Endeavour Pub, keys can be conveniently collected by pulling up outside the pub, and the cottage is just a few minutes' drive away. The staff will be on hand should you have any queries during your stay. As with most properties, we do not have designated parking; however, there is free on-street parking close to the property, subject to availability, and a couple of car parks are close by. We will provide full details of how to find the cottage and all the available parking close by and in town when you arrive, but you can also find it on the location page. 

Please be mindful when booking regarding the steps that lead to the property, as these may present an issue for you, as there is no suitable disabled access.

It should also be noted that due to the location of the cottage, it is not possible to park outside, and you will need to walk your luggage to the property even if you are parked close by.
